We are seeking a Site Manager for our Moree site in NSW. This position has full accountability for the management planning organising and safe operation of the cotton gin. All maintenance and ginning staff both permanent and casual working in the area of responsibility will report to the Gin Site Manager. This role is all about safety people and performance - leading a team driving operational excellence and making sure everything runs smoothly from modules to bales.
Key responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- Lead and mentor your crew with a strong focus on safety.
- Monitor and maintain machinery and equipment to ensure continuity of production and quality
- Manage seasonal daily gin throughput
- KRA reporting
- Ensure work permits are completed for all high risk activity
- Maintain the physical appearance of the gin site
- Manage develop and lead employees
Qualifications :
Desired qualifications skills and experience:
- Demonstrated relevant experience in Ginning
- Ability to identify/control weaknesses in process and implement best practices
- Mechanical maintenance and/or electrical knowledge
- Prior experience managing staff in a maintenance/production environment
- Sound computer skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently take initiative and develop solutions for challenges when required
- Strong work ethic
- Demonstrated leadership capability
- Ability and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees customers and third parties
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy
