Job Summary
You will be part of one of the largest data transformation journeys. As a Data Engineer you will be working on building modern data products within the Data Mesh concept aligned with our target vision and business requirements.

You will join the Data Engineering Competence Area within the AI Analytics & Data Domain and contribute as an individual contributor in a data product team. The team supports our global brands to create structure and maintain high-quality secure and accessible data.
Key Responsibilities
Take end-to-end ownership to build optimize and support existing and new data products based on defined vision.
Champion a DevOps mindset manage CI/CD pipelines Terraform and Cloud infrastructure (GCP).
Ensure data products are deployable as independent units and meet security scalability observability and performance standards.
Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to define vision for data products and identify opportunities for new data products.
Work across product teams in line with the Data Mesh concept.
Drive continuous improvement reduce technical debt and adopt best practices.
Stay updated with the latest data/analytics and cloud technologies.
Qualifications :
- Passion for data people and technology.
4 years hands-on experience as a Data Engineer on GCP/modern cloud platforms.
Strong knowledge of GCP tools (BigQuery Cloud Functions Pub/Sub etc.).
Experience with data formats (Parquet Avro).
Strong proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (Python Java Scala).
Understanding of data modeling techniques and trade-offs.
Knowledge of NoSQL and RDBMS databases.
Familiarity with data visualization tools.
Cloud infrastructure and DevOps experience (CI/CD Terraform).
Excellent collaboration communication and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English (written & verbal).
Advantage: Business understanding of the retail industry.
