Job Title: Part-Time QuickBooks Bookkeeper

About Us:
Montreal-based lighting installation company specializing in permanent architectural lighting for both residential and commercial properties.
Position Overview:
The QuickBooks Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing our accounting records transactions and reporting in QuickBooks. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) ideal for a professional who is highly organized accurate and comfortable working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile daily weekly and monthly financial transactions in QuickBooks.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable including invoicing and payment tracking.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Process expense reports and ensure accurate categorization.
- Assist with payroll preparation and government remittances (GST QST source deductions).
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for management.
- Support the preparation of year-end documentation for accountants.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax requirements in Quebec.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online/Desktop.
- Familiarity with payroll and government filings is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
