JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic strategic and results-drivenprofessional to join our team in the role ofProfessional Experience Year (PEY) student.

In this role you will be guided by a dedicated manager who will oversee your work offer hands-on support and connect you with mentors devoted to your professional development. You will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects allowing you to make meaningful contributions to the organization while gaining valuable practical experience.

Enterprise Projects: The Enterprise Projects business unit at Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is responsible for the planning development and execution of major capital projects across the organization. This team leads the delivery of complex infrastructure initiatives ensuring projects are completed safely on time and within budget while upholding OPGs commitment to operational excellence innovation and sustainability. Enterprise Projects plays a key role in supporting OPGs long-term strategic objectives and the continued reliability of Ontarios energy system.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to support the operation of various systems.
  • Contribute to the overall objective of achieving an integrated environment dedicated to the safe and reliable operation of OPGs plants.
  • Assist with developing and executing projects in compliance with the nuclear industrys demanding set of regulations and standards using established project management processes.
  • Maintaining written documented processes and procedures to reflect improved operating methods and additions to all supported systems.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree at an accredited institution on a full-time basis OR by the start of the opportunity in May 2026 will have completed 3rd year of a 4-year program or 4th year of a 5-year program.

  • Will be returning to full-time studies in the same program following the completion of the work term.
  • Currently enrolled and meets the minimum eligibility requirements for the Internship or Co-op Program as defined by your academic institution. Superior analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and demonstrated project management organizational and leadership abilities
  • Willingness to learn take initiative and adapt to new challenges
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with a proven aptitude for managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently

The base salary range considers many factors including but not limited to experience education and training including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
