As a School-Based Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) you will play a pivotal role in supporting students behavioral social and academic growth. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to better understand student needs and using that information to design implement and oversee individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). You will also serve as a trusted resource for school staff providing training coaching and ongoing professional development to teachers paraprofessionals and related team members on effective research-based strategies.
In this role you ll gather and analyze behavioral data to inform decision-making and adjust interventions when necessary. Collaboration will be central to your work you ll partner with IEP teams families and school personnel to ensure that behavioral supports are seamlessly integrated with academic objectives. Beyond individual student services you ll contribute to building a positive inclusive school climate by supporting school-wide behavioral practices. Throughout your work you ll ensure all procedures align with district policies and comply with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and evidence-based interventions.
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through the BACB.
- Master s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis Special Education Psychology or a related field.
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities (preferred).
