QA Engineer

Role: Software QA Engineer — Chennai Tamil Nadu (Full-time)

About the Opportunity
A firm operating in the Digital Product & SaaS sector building enterprise web mobile and e-commerce applications. The team delivers customer-facing and internal platforms using Agile practices CI/CD pipelines and modern test automation to ensure high-quality releases and rapid feature delivery. We are looking for a detail-oriented QA professional who can combine hands-on testing with project coordination to drive reliable product outcomes.

Role & Responsibilities

• Review requirements and define test strategy plans scenarios and clear test cases for web mobile and API features.
• Execute functional manual tests regression suites and API checks; log triage and track defects through closure using Jira.
• Develop maintain and extend automated test scripts and automation frameworks (Selenium-based) to improve coverage and reliability.
• Perform cross-browser and parallel execution testing including use of Selenium Grid or cloud-based testing platforms to validate UI behaviour.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to reproduce prioritize and verify fixes; participate in sprint ceremonies and release gates.
• Support project coordination: assist with scope definition timelines task allocation status reporting and stakeholder communication to enable on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• 4 years of hands-on Quality Assurance experience with exposure to project coordination or management.
• Proven experience testing web mobile (hybrid/native) and e-commerce applications across the SDLC.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience contributing in sprint planning stand-ups and retrospectives.
