About the Opportunity
We are hiring an experienced Consultant Physician to join a high-quality clinical team delivering inpatient and outpatient general medicine services. The role focuses on acute medical care diagnostic evaluation and continuity of care for adult patients across wards emergency and clinic settings. This is an on-site position based in India offering exposure to multidisciplinary case management and opportunities for clinical leadership.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care for adult inpatients and outpatients evaluate diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of general medicine conditions.
- Lead daily ward rounds and coordinate multidisciplinary care plans with nursing allied health and specialty teams.
- Respond to medical emergencies and participate in rapid response/Code Blue teams as required.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (laboratory imaging ECG) and initiate evidence-based treatment and investigations.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors residents and medical students; ensure accurate clinical documentation and discharge planning.
- Maintain clinical governance adhere to hospital policies infection control protocols and participate in audit and morbidity & mortality review.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Internal medicine diagnosis
- Acute care management
- Inpatient ward management
- Outpatient clinic management
- Advanced Cardiac LifeSupport(ACLS)
- Electrocardiography(ECG) interpretation
Preferred
- Point-of-care ultrasound(POCUS)
- Critical care procedures (central venous access lumbar puncture)
- Experience with electronic medical records(EMR)
