Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Interoperability Consultant to design and implement solutions leveraging HL7 FHIR and C-CDA standards. The role involves building high-performance API integrations with Qualified Health Information Networks (QHINs) and transforming clinical data into FHIR resources to enable seamless data exchange across healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement healthcare interoperability solutions using HL7 v2/v3 FHIR and C-CDA standards.
  
• Develop and optimize API integrations with QHINs and other health information exchange platforms.
  
• Transform and map clinical data into FHIR resources ensuring compliance with interoperability standards.
  
• Collaborate with product engineering and clinical teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  
• Ensure data integrity security and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA ONC CMS).
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve interoperability issues across diverse healthcare systems.
  
• Provide technical documentation best practices and training for stakeholders.
  
• Stay updated on evolving interoperability standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  

Must-Have Qualifications

1. Strong hands-on experience with HL7 FHIR and C-CDA standards.
   
2. Proven expertise in API development and integration within healthcare environments.
   
3. Experience in clinical data transformation and mapping into FHIR resources.
   
4. Knowledge of QHINs and TEFCA framework for health information exchange.
   
5. Solid understanding of healthcare data privacy and compliance regulations.
   
6. Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
   

Good-to-Have Qualifications

1. Experience with EHR/EMR systems (Epic Cerner Allscripts etc.).
   
2. Familiarity with terminology standards (SNOMED CT LOINC ICD-10).
   
3. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) for healthcare solutions.
   
4. Knowledge of healthcare analytics and reporting frameworks.
   
5. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and clinical stakeholders.
