Solar Engineer designs develops and manages solar energy systems performing site assessments system modeling and creating technical documentation like single-line diagrams. Key responsibilities include overseeing installation and maintenance conducting performance analysis ensuring project compliance with standards and safety regulations and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system efficiency. They utilize CAD software model solar energy systems using PVsyst or similar tools and stay updated on technological advancements to support renewable energy adoption.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Development: Designing and planning solar energy systems for residential commercial and industrial applications using CAD and simulation software.

Site Assessment & Feasibility: Conducting site-specific analyses and feasibility studies to evaluate the potential of new solar projects.

Project Management: Managing project development including coordinating teams overseeing installation and ensuring projects stay within budget and deadlines.

Performance Analysis & Optimization: Analyzing system performance troubleshooting faults and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Documentation: Preparing technical diagrams single-line diagrams project reports and documentation required for permits and project approval.

Compliance & Safety: Ensuring that all projects comply with environmental regulations building codes and safety standards.

Maintenance & Monitoring: Overseeing the maintenance and monitoring of solar power systems to ensure optimal operation.

Technology & Innovation: Staying informed about the latest advancements in solar energy technology and driving innovation in solar solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: A Bachelors degree or diploma in engineering typically in electrical engineering or a related field.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software modeling tools like PVsyst and a strong understanding of solar technologies.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills for assessing energy efficiency troubleshooting and identifying solutions for project issues.

Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
