Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer you will work on exciting software and integration projects extending and improving our state-of-the-art machine control software and portfolio as part of a motivated development team. You will:
  • Work with object-oriented programming and software architecture.
  • Contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle from design and specification to testing and documentation.
  • Provide input and recommendations into technical decision-making and development direction authoring and reviewing software concepts in On-Machine software and integration projects.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for parts of our software and portfolio.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a talented software professional with strong personal impact. You likely have a degree in computer science or engineering and at least 5 years of experience in a similar position. Experience developing software in a cross-site multi-team organization is valuable.

Your background demonstrates that:
  • You have strong expertise in C applications running on Linux.
  • You have played a major role in designing and implementing key architectural components.
  • You are skilled in working with and debugging legacy code bases.
Nice-to-Have Skills
While not required experience in any of the following areas will make you stand out:
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): Applying AI for tasks like object classification based on imaging.
  • Embedded Linux and Yocto: Developing software for embedded systems.
  • Containerization and Deployment: Experience with Docker.
  • NVIDIA Platforms: Working with NVIDIA hardware or software solutions.
  • ARM Architectures: Developing software for ARM-based systems.
  • Communication Protocols: Knowledge of CAN WebSockets or CANopen.
  • Sensor Fusion: Combining data from multiple sensors to enhance system performance.
  • Kinematics and Robotics: Understanding motion and control systems.
  • Cloud Services and Python: Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and Python scripting.

  • You are a team player who can coach coworkers based on your experience with software development.
  • You communicate directly speak your mind and can effectively represent the technical aspects of our solutions.
  • You work independently within a given framework and thrive in cross-organizational collaboration.
