Job Description
Software Test Engineer - Contract
Join my clients Christchurch-based team as a Software Test Engineer contributing to an innovative and industry-leading organisation. Multiple roles are available and we welcome hourly rate contractors or 12 year fixed-term assignments.
As a Software Test Engineer youll play a pivotal role in ensuring product quality and performance through robust test automation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing end-to-end tests using Playwright
- Collaborating with developers and domain experts to align testing with product goals
- Identifying and resolving test coverage gaps and scope challenges
- Supporting CI/CD pipelines and test integration across platforms
To thrive in this role you should bring:
- At least 3 years of experience in software testing or test automation
- Strong hands-on expertise with Playwright (TypeScript or JavaScript)
- Familiarity with browser-based UI testing and cross-platform validation
- Experience with Agile development practices and test-driven workflows
- Bonus: exposure to C AngularJS or Linux/Windows environments
