This committee will develop instructional materials embedded in literacy block instructional routines that address oracy vocabulary development sentence complexity and writing. The team will identify lesson-level key vocabulary words necessary to support text comprehension academic conversation and formative assessment tasks and will develop lesson-level Sentence Patterning Charts with goals of the Dual Language After School Planning Committee will be to: Develop lesson presentation materials embedding SPC routines with selected vocabulary from each grade-level parsed text. Create Sentence Patterning Charts customized for each grade and target language aligned to current units of study. Build a shared bank of SPC lesson examples across grade levels to promote consistency in building-wide instructional Qualifications: be a current elementary George School dual language teacher or a language acquisition coach supporting the programs (K5 vertical team with up to six teachers in each language: English Spanish Portuguese and French). record of completing assigned of second language acquisition linguistics and sheltered content and familiarity with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for ELA WIDA ACCESS and/or ACTFL foreign language proficiency : in all in-person after-school collaborative planning with the language acquisition coach regarding scaffolding text analysis to identify lesson-level key vocabulary lesson presentation materials and documentation of completed the use of texts identified in the language arts scope and sequence aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum in professional discussions focused on best practices instructional routines and second language and edit lesson presentations adding pre-reading vocabulary instruction slides with Sentence Patterning : According to the Contract Up to 10 hours.
