How the Marketing Specialist contributes:

The Marketing Specialist: TDIC TDIC Insurance Solutions has responsibilities for project planning and execution for all aspects of marketing promotion advertising sponsorships and client services under the lead guidance and direction of the Marketing Director. Activities include researching brainstorming writing opportunity and campaign assessment in the development of collateral materials advertisements sponsorships and promotional materials for (TDIC) The Dentists Insurance Company and TDIC Insurance Solutions.

Strategic Planning
  • In collaboration with Marketing Director assist in the development of marketing plan and budget.
  • Ensures timelines and milestones are met within budget.
  • Track budget for assigned projects/initiatives
  • Maintain awareness of current and changing marketing trends competitive landscape consumer attitudes and opinions

Project Management & Execution
  • Own project lifecycles from kickoff to delivery - Manages the movement of work forward using discretion and independent judgment to achieve objectives.
  • Oversees the development of schedules and tracks key initiative dates
  • Works with Marketing Director and key stakeholders on coordination of print and digital campaigns including production list generation content and offer development.
  • Facilitates internal and external process to route all marketing materials for approval.
  • Collaborates with creative production teams and third-party vendors to implement campaigns.
  • Manage and support trafficking for traditional media; Communicate with external vendors for paid media placements on specs timelines
  • Tracks and escalates program issues as appropriate. This will be accomplished by keeping a close eye on deadlines and communicating to the program team when they are at risk.

Marketing Performance Tracking
  • Uses strong analytical skills and performance indicators to track campaign effectiveness.
  • Assist Marketing Director in preparing detailed reports and providing insights for the strategic decision-making
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment to recommend new or adjusted tactical approaches to maximize campaign effectiveness

Process Optimization and Documentation
  • Possess flexibility and adaptability to new growth opportunities on how to improve internal systems templates and tools to drive efficiency and scalability
  • Introduce new project methodologies where appropriate
  • Build and maintain reference documents for processes procedures and campaign related information (specs disclosures legal requirements etc.)

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Comfortable with communicating marketing strategies as well as project status to all levels within the organization.
  • High-level oversight of vendor relationships
  • Proven track record working with various cross-functional internal and external groups to deliver meaningful results on time and on budget
  • Communicates with diplomacy and tact while interacting with all levels within and outside of the organization
  • Performs job duties in a collaborative fashion with the ability to work independently exercising good judgment and professionalism


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years in advertising marketing or communications in advertising agency insurance company or association.
  • Bachelors degree in marketing advertising communications or journalism preferred or combination of education and experience.
  • Strong computer skills required: intermediate experience using Microsoft Office PowerPoint Excel Word and internet savvy.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with marketing for an insurance carrier and/or agency and/or sales focused organization
  • Experience with project management/collaboration tools (Sharepoint Jira Confluence)
  • Experience with website content management systems (DNN Wordpress)
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Data Studio
  • Experience with tradeshow or event marketing
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting market data.
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite media specs and vendor management
  • Strong grasp of budgeting timelines and resource allocation
  • Deep understanding of creative and media workflows across channels (digital video social print etc.
  • A solid understanding and demonstrated experience with marketing concepts and brand principles.
  • Proven track record working with various cross-functional internal and external groups to deliver meaningful results on time and on budget.
  • Ability to identify and translate goals and objectives into strategies plans and tactics.
  • Strong project analytical communication and time management skills
  • Experience planning and executing multi-channel advertising campaigns and marketing programs.
  • Ability to work autonomously manage a variety of projects simultaneously and balance priorities within varied timelines.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills organizational ability and creativity as well as a methodical and logical approach to preparation and tasks and problem solving.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining all deadlines is a prerequisite.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal verbal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate diplomacy and tact while interacting with all levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Take strong initiative to perform job duties in a collaborative environment with the ability to negotiate work independently exercising good judgment and professionalism.
