Senior Sales Support Associate (NYC Hybrid)

HarperCollins 360 publisher of the #1 New York Times bestselling Dream Harbor series and Tina: The Dog Who Changed the World is seeking a Senior Sales Support Associate HC360 Childrens to join the New York-based team of HarperCollins global publishing program publishing a select group of titles from HarperCollins affiliates in the UK Australia New Zealand and India into the US marketplace. The Senior Sales Support Associate will report to Senior Manager Sales Ops and 360 Childrens Publishing. This role is responsible for the flow of metadata and title information from the international HC affiliate businesses into the HCUS systems liaising with affiliate offices to ensure timely ordering and maintenance of inventory for frontlist and backlist titles and assisting the US sales and marketing functions with materials needed to support the goals of HarperCollins 360. In this role you will:

• Collaborate with our international affiliates inventory sales and marketing departments to create and track workable schedules that support Sales deadlines and ensure timely delivery of titles to market.
• Coordinate materials required for sales and marketing including ensuring books are cataloged and galleys and egalleys are available as applicable create fact sheets and PowerPoints for launch and positioning meetings.
• Analyze rate of sales and inventory levels to estimate replenishment needs and resolve inventory-related issues as they arise.
• Monitor and maintain warning levels in inventory planning system factoring in lead times and minimum reprint quantities.
• Prepare and track bindery shipments to select customers.
• Initiate warehouse work orders for various displays promotions and stock maintenance.
• Attend all relevant meetings including pub schedule review launch and positioning monthly imprint reviews quarterly childrens brainstorm and special markets updates
• Provide support with the childrens marketing plans and budgets

• 3 years experience in inventory management and childrens sales operations/marketing
• Excellent communication organizational and follow-up skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to create and manage schedules track multiple projects and meet dates in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite with special emphasis on Excel and Filemaker.
• Ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically across international departments with strong interpersonal skills
• Interest in childrens publishing
• College-level understanding and use of the English language
• A college degree (BA or equivalent) or equivalent work experience

The salary range for this position is $57000-$65000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
