Role - Principal Consultant-Infrastructure management

Your role
In the role of a Principal Consultant you will anchor the engagement effort for assignments all the way from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design development and deployment. You will be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes deliverables. As a thought leader in your domain you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews. You will anchor business pursuit initiatives client training in-house capability building. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Required:
Install configure and administer backup platforms such as Spectrum Protect (TSM) Veeam Commvault NetBackup etc.
Perform health checks troubleshooting issues and ensure optimal performance of backup environments.
Automate backup tasks using scripting tools like PowerShell Python or CLI utilities.
Automate backup reports for daily monthly and customized enabling them to track and monitor backups
Handon experience in Migrating backups from one platform to another
Create and maintain technical documentation SOPs and recovery procedures.
Execute restore operations and support disaster recovery drills.
Interact with clients to gather backup and recover requirements.
Analyze business needs and recommend solutions to meet RPO (Recovery Point Objective) and RTO (Recovery Time Objective) targets.
Provide technical consultation during onboarding migrations and upgrades.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backup solutions.
Design scalable and resilient backup architectures for on-prem cloud and hybrid environments.
Define standards and best practices for backup configurations retention policies and verification mechanisms.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing backup strategies.
Support change and release planning with impact assessments and rollback strategies.
Hands-on expertise in TSM Veeam and Commvault backup platforms
Experience with cloud backup solutions (Azure AWS) is a plus.
Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell Python CLI).
Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident/change/problem management tools.
Excellent troubleshooting documentation and client-facing communication skills
Preferred
IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM) Certification
Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
Commvault Certified Professional
ITIL Foundation or higher
Azure/AWS Backup Certifications (optional)
