A rapidly growing technology company is seeking a Director of Technical Accounting to lead its accounting policy and complex transaction support functions. This role is ideal for a CPA with a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP SEC reporting and technical accounting especially those coming from Big 4 or top 10 public accounting firms.
The Director will serve as a subject matter expert on accounting standards lead the evaluation of new transactions and support cross-functional teams on accounting implications. This is a high-impact role with visibility across finance legal and executive leadership.Key Responsibilities

- Lead technical accounting research and documentation for complex transactions (e.g. revenue recognition equity leases acquisitions)
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Support SEC reporting and disclosure requirements
- Partner with legal finance and operations teams to assess accounting implications of contracts and strategic initiatives
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess impact on the company
- Assist with audit coordination and internal control enhancements
- Provide training and guidance to accounting and finance teams
- CPA required
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8 years of experience in technical accounting ideally with public company exposure
- Big 4 or top 10 public accounting firm experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP SEC reporting and internal controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
