GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Provides day to day supervision and direction for the clinical staff.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises staff evaluates work and recommends and implements approved disciplinary action. (40%)
- Promotes a professional work environment through sound management principles and leadership skills. Promotes cooperative problem solving appropriate delegation and the building of team spirit through individual counseling and assumes responsibility for own professional development. (25%)
- Ensures cost effective operations by scrutinizing resource utilization such as scheduling practices payroll and inventory control. (20%)
- Pursues continuous performance improvement by monitoring and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of care and ensures compliance of regulatory standards. (15%)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
- Bachelors degree in Nursing
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Three years relevant RN experience
- CPR American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred
- Masters degree in Nursing Business or related field
- Previous supervisory experience
