Please note that this role can be based in Melbourne Sydney or Newcastle.

What You Will Get To Do:

The Senior Project Manager (PM) is a professional who on behalf of the senior responsible owner is responsible for the successful delivery of the whole of the proposed project change. The Senior PM leads a team through the project life cycle by planning budgeting scheduling and tracking a project plan. The project plan thoroughly explains how the project will be executed and includes a budget timeline schedule roles and responsibilities among other things.

You will be responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the project and will develop and maintain the project to support each individual project within it.

This role is responsible daily to the senior responsible owner where allocated to support a project change.

What You Will Bring:

  • Seasoned Project Management practitioner with experience delivery large Programs of work and managing C level stakeholders relationships.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Project Management.
  • Experience in delivering IT People and Administration projects within Financial Services. Ideally including transitions for investment managers custodians superannuation and pension funds and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Demonstrated proven track record in planning executing and delivering large complex programs/projects on time and on budget.
  • Detailed knowledge of techniques for planning monitoring and controlling programs
  • Good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with thirdparties
  • Good knowledge of program and project management methods including MSP and Prince2
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the program
  • The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
