About the team
The Information Technology Division (IT) plan build and run the IT systems that support CCNSW to deliver its vision of a cancer free future.
About the role
As a subject matter expert this role is responsible for support and systems administration including responding to service requests and incidents ensuring that Cancer Council NSW IT consistently delivers a high standard of service including compliance to processes controls and agreed service levels.
This role will be a parental leave cover until December 2026.
Key responsibilities of the role
- Responsible for support maintenance monitoring and security of computer hardware and software systems to meet the organisations current and future requirements.
- Complete allocated tasks in provisioning administration monitoring and security of all cloud services and infrastructure used to support organisational requirements.
- Responsible for project tasks from major upgrades new installations or migrations.
- Complete allocated tasks in support administration and monitoring of networking infrastructure.
- Responsible for administration and monitoring of telephony and communications services and equipment.
- Monitors systems and identify performance issues proactively.
- Works within agreed time frames and SLAs to resolve or escalate incidents.
- Contributes to documenting incident and problem resolutions.
- Works toward managing competing workloads and requests to deliver all tasks within expectations.
- Tests changes to networks hardware software and hosted applications and infrastructure
- Seeks guidance where required to comply with resource constraints quality standards regulatory compliance in order to meet business and customer requirements.
- Deliver assigned project work within agreed time.
- Contributes to discussions in selecting relevant technologies for use within the organisation.
- Contributes to the maintenance and improvement of personal and team technical skills and knowledge.
About you
Essential
- 2 years relevant experience in a similar role
- 3-5 years experience in customer service or client facing support roles.
- Demonstrated knowledge andor previous experience with Windows Server technologies including: Active Directory Group Policy PowerShell Roaming Profiles Terminal Services
- Demonstrated knowledge andor previous experience administering and supporting Microsoft M365 environment device management using Intune MS Teams
- Demonstrated knowledge andor previous experience in administering and supporting Microsoft Web platform (Azure AD Exchange SharePoint)
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or previous experience in administering backup and/or recovery technologies for use in operational and/or DR scenarios.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or previous experience in the supporting local and remote clients in a centralised IT services environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in supporting users and computers in LAN WAN and Wireless LAN networks.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the delivery of IT services using industry best practices.
- A positive proactive and service-orientated approach to IT service delivery.
- Excellent verbal written and communication skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience in an IT support services environment and participation in an IT Service Desk.
- Previous experience in using systems to deploy and manage applications windows clients and other devices.
- Previous experience working with cloud technologies.
- Working toward industry certifications
