Aboutthe role

DaviesCollison Cave is now recruiting for a patent associate/attorneywith experience in the field of engineering to join our Brisbaneoffice.

Your day today work will involve all aspects of private patent attorneypractices including liaising with inventors and corporate clientsdrafting patent specifications conducting searches providingpatentability patent infringement patent validity opinions andprosecuting patent applications. You prepare prosecute analyseand provide opinions on patent applications relating to inventionsin engineering.

AboutYou

• A Bachelors degree (with Honours) in mechanical engineering aerospace engineering mechatronics engineering mining engineering biomedical engineering or equivalent.
• Current registration as an Australian Patent Attorney and ideally a minimum of 2-4 years experience post registration.
• An excellent communicator with a strong command of written and verbal English.
• Are able to understand critically analyse information and think laterally.
• Are well organised and self motivated.
• Committed to providing clients with quality advice and service.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Commitment to and interest in business development.
