Outstanding Opportunities for 2 BC/BE Pediatricians to Join
Prestigious Childrens Health System in South Florida
Nicklaus Childrens Health System and Nicklaus Childrens Pediatric Specialists (NCPS) the health systems physician led multispecialty group practice have two exceptional opportunities for board-certified or board-eligible (BC/BE) pediatricians to join our Division of Primary Care. One position will be based on the campus of Nicklaus Childrens Hospital in Miami; the second at an outpatient center located near Fort Lauderdale in Broward County.
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in general pediatrics
- Experience with or a strong interest in the medical home model of care
- Passionate about advocacy equity and improving care for medically complex children
- Eager to work in an academic setting and contribute to our mission of teaching and clinical excellence
Practice Overview
- 10 locations throughout South Florida (5 in Miami-Dade County 5 in Broward County)
- 19 full-time pediatricians; 2 PAs; 2 APRNs
- Monday-Saturday office hours with shared on-call coverage
- Collegial environment with opportunities for collaboration and quality improvement
- Opportunities to engage with residents and medical students
Our pediatric care centers offer comprehensive care to children from birth through age 21 and serve as a trusted medical home for the local community offering well-child visits sick care developmental screenings and coordination with pediatric subspecialists when needed. The care environment is warm welcoming and supported by a collaborative team of healthcare professionals committed to excellence in pediatric medicine. The location at Nicklaus Childrens Hospital is a NCQA-certified Patient Centered Medical Home and vital hub for children and families in our local and international communities. Our patient population includes children with a wide range of medical needs including those with complex and chronic conditions offering a rich and rewarding clinical experience.
Academic Affiliation
Employed staff benefit from affiliations with our educational partner Florida International University (FIU). These positions include a faculty appointment at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
Each year Nicklaus Childrens Hospital trains:
- 84 pediatric residents and 2 chief residents
- 49 subspecialty fellows in 17 distinct training programs
