Job Summary

Community Development Analyst

The Office of Housing Support within the Ohio Department of Development is presently hiring for a Community Development Analyst to contribute to a team of dedicated individuals who share a passion for supporting Ohio communities in their mission to increase affordable housing.

What youll be doing:

  • Provide excellent customer service and technical assistance to grantees local officials and community stakeholders.

  • Support applicants with project design eligibility compliance funding options and application preparation.

  • Monitor grant recipients for compliance with state and federal regulations through site visits file reviews and reports.

  • Prepare compliance reports recommend corrective actions and follow up to ensure resolution.

  • Manage the application process including guidelines scoring reviews feedback and recommendations.

  • Conduct research gather stakeholder input and analyze data to inform policy and program development.

  • Represent the department in a professional collaborative and customer-focused manner.

  • Travel as required may include overnight stays.

36 months experience in planning developing and/or implementing community and/or economic development programs. Must be able to provide own transportation.

-Or completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration public administration city and regional planning sociology social services or political science; 12 months experience in planning developing and/or implementing community and/or economic development programs. Must be able to provide own transportation.
