本ポジションは社内で発案されたビジネスアイデア特に日本全国へのアマゾンの在庫および輸送ネットワークの構築にかかわるものをProjectとして推進し実現していくことがミッションになります在庫および輸送ネットワークの構築は入荷から出荷までのサプライチェーン全体を俯瞰的にとらえる必要があるだけでなくどの地域にどのような品揃えをどのような配送方法配送スピードでお届けできるかが決まるキーになるためサプライチェーン事業部のみの留まらず販売事業部やその他の幅広い領域の担当者との連携が必要になります

Projectの構想段階での基本的なデータ分析に始まり各Project実行時には必要なシステム全体の導入に責任を持ち各システムオーナーを取りまとめるTechnical Project Managerの役割を遂行してもらいますまた日本の社内で発案されるビジネスアイディアとは別に海外のアマゾンでのシステムの成功事例を日本にも積極的に展開していくことも有益でありその日本の窓口としての役割を果たしてもらいます以下に詳細を記します

構想段階でのデータ分析
ビジネスアイディアに対して現状のデータ分析を行いますデータ分析のためにはアマゾンの複雑なサプライチェーンを理解し膨大なデータを効果的に取り扱う必要がありますそのため高度な理解力および論理的思考力が求められます求められた分析のみでは効果が見えない場合は仮説や着眼点切り口を変えて仮説検証のサイクルを自身で回しビジネス発案者に提案できるような推進力も求められます具体的には入荷/発注方法の変更や倉庫間輸送が在庫配置に与える影響や在庫配置の変更が配送に与える影響をコストとスピードの観点から分析します

ローンチProjectのTechnical Project Manager
プロジェクトとして承認が下りたものに対してビジネスオーナープロジェクトマネージャーと共に実装と安定運用までの責任を持ちますアマゾンにおける新しいサプライチェーンの変革の施策では間違いなくシステムの変更が必要になります対象システムおよびシステムの影響範囲も多岐にわたり各システムの担当者も海外にいることも多いです各システムの担当者と連携して設計変更テスト実装安定稼働までの期限において完了までの責任を持ちます

Global Teamとの連携日本へのシステム導入
全世界のアマゾンで運用されているシステムの開発および改修は一括してＵＳで行われていることが多く日本で運用されているシステムもほぼ該当しますビジネスの規模から新しいシステムはＵＳアマゾン用に立ち上げられその後日本含め全世界のアマゾンに展開されるというプロセスが標準的になっています新しいシステムの日本への展開の際に日本特有のビジネス背景を加味し導入の優先度を判断し仕様をローカライズしたり日本のビジネスオペレーションに与える影響を見極め提案内容を分かりやすく文書にまとめステークホルダーとの調整を行ったりし導入までの窓口の役割を果たします

Amazons mission is to become the Earths most customer-centric company. To achieve this we invest in expanding a high-quality supply chain network. Specifically we make full use of technology and continue to innovate in speed cost and quality breaking free from traditional Supply Chain Management (SCM) concepts.

In Amazon Japans Supply Chain division we are looking for members responsible for developing this network.
The mission of this position is to implement and execute projects particularly those related to building Amazons inventory and transportation network across Japan. Since these network influences upstream processes like procurement and inbound logistics as well as downstream processes such as shipping and delivery; thus a holistic understanding of the entire supply chain is required. Also because these network performance is the key input for Amazon which decides what kind of selections we can offer in which areas and how fast or how convenient you will be expected to collaborate with broader stakeholders outside of SCM department.

(1) Data Analysis;
During the project conception stage you will primarily conduct data analysis. You will be responsible for understanding Amazons complex supply chain and effectively handling vast amounts of data requiring advanced comprehension and logical thinking skills. If the initial analyses do not yield results you will be expected to alter your hypotheses and viewpoints independently drive the hypothesis-testing cycle and make proposals to the business initiators. Specifically you will analyze the impacts of changes in procurement/ordering methods and inter-warehouse transportation on inventory placement as well as the impacts of inventory placement changes on delivery from both cost and speed perspectives.

(2) Role as Technical Project Manager during Project Launch;
Upon project approval you will share the responsibility of implementation and stable operation along with business owners and project any supply chain transformation initiative at Amazon system changes will undoubtedly be required. The scope of the systems involved is broad and system owners may often be based overseas. You will coordinate with system owners to take responsibility for design changes testing implementation and stable operation within a specified timeframe.

(3)Collaboration with Global Team System Implementation in Japan;
Most system development in Amazon worldwide are often centralized in the US and the systems used in Japan generally fall under this category. New systems are usually launched for Amazon US and subsequently rolled out to Amazon locations globally including Japan. When implementing new systems in Japan you will consider Japan-specific business contexts judge the priority of implementation localize specifications assess impacts on Japans business operations coordinate with stakeholders by effectively using documentation and serve as the point of contact for implementation.
