Head of Product – Betfair International Sports (12 month secondment if internal or FTC external)

Location: Dublin / Porto / Leeds

Overview of the role:

We are looking for aHead of Product Sports to join ourBetfair International Product team. The successful candidate could be based in Dublin Porto or Leeds with monthly travel required to other offices and an expectation to be in an office twice a week.

Reporting to the Product Director Betfair International this role will be responsible for owning the International Sports tribe product roadmaps that includes but isnt limited to Loyalty Bet Placement and Transactions all elements of the Sports pages the Exchange and driving cross-sell to Gaming.

You will play a fundamental role in the future development and success of Betfair International working with a wide range of stakeholders across the International and UK&I divisions. There are currently 2 dedicated Sports tech teams for International to build specific features for our key markets; Brazil Spain and Italy and plans in place to secure a third. But we also leverage capabilities developed by 20 UKI teams on the shared platform and have capacity allocation in areas such as Sports Platform so you need to stay close to various counterparts plans to maximise value released and ensure global requirements are considered.

What youll do:

We need to better localise our customer journeys across key countries and leverage capabilities being built by other brands. The Head of Product will work without constraints to seek product excellence improve culture and communications and identify the biggest pain points and opportunities to define a clear 2-5yr strategy. This will involve creating business cases to surface opportunities to expand the team and resource whilst maximising whats available.

Youll manage a multi-disciplinary team including Design and use data and research to initiate research programmes and identify the features and requirements with the most customer and business value to lead the team to be more proactive where were currently very reactive.

What youll bring:

Your Experience:

• Head of Product or relevant experience within a scaled agile development methodology environment

• Significant experience of running lean UX discovery processes

• Proven ability to review existing processes and drive efficiencies

• Confident making and influencing decision making using data

• Experience in the gambling sector with an appreciation of the business logic operational processes and end customer needs beneficial

• International and/or Sports focussed experience beneficial

Your Skills:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills comfortable operating at all levels of an organisation

• Commercially aware and able to write business cases

• Proficient multi-tasker and comfortable working in high pressure situations

• Naturally collaborative and able to build relationships with challenging stakeholders

• Ability to maintain a balance between short term delivery and longer term strategy
