Meet the team:
The Sensor Design and Characterization group within the Research and Development (R&D) organization is dedicated to the design and development of cutting-edge sensor technologies guiding them from initial concept through to commercialization. These innovations are essential to improving the accuracy reliability and robustness of CGM systems. Our multidisciplinary team brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds and experience levels fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment that drives creative problem-solving and breakthrough this role you will lead technical projects spanning sustaining efforts new product development and research initiatives while providing deep domain expertise in sensor design and characterization.
Where you come in:
You will provide technical leadership in refining existing sensor designs and shaping future architectural strategies.
You will lead proof-of-concept initiatives for biosensor and electrochemical technologies advancing them from initial concept through clinical and commercial feasibility.
You will design and execute benchtop and in-vivo experiments to assess both current and emerging CGM technologies at the component and sensor levels.
You will apply statistical methods to analyze large datasets evaluate sensor performance and identify key performance-driving parameters.
You will iterate on sensor designs using sound scientific principles and a data-driven approach recommending enhancements that improve product accuracy reliability flexibility or functionality.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams within and beyond R&D to efficiently meet project milestones proactively managing interdependencies.
You will communicate findings through clear oral presentations tailored to both technical peers and leadership audiences.
You will prepare documentation and deliverables in accordance with the Design Control process to support sensor design activities throughout the R&D lifecycle.
You will contribute to intellectual property development by drafting invention disclosures and supporting patent filings.
What makes you successful:
You have a B.S. M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics Chemistry Chemical Engineering Materials Science and Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
You have strong technical expertise in the design and characterization of biosensors or electrochemical systemsideally within the medical device industry.
You have a proven track record of innovation and success in solving complex scientific and engineering challenges.
You have hands-on experience working in a wet lab environment.
You are proficient in statistical and data analysis tools such as JMP Origin Python MATLAB or R.
You possess a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
You have exceptional scientific communication skillsboth verbal and writtenand thrive in collaborative environments.

Experience and Education Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 8- 12 years related experience or Masters degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.
