Overview
General Cardiologist sought by Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur IL (Macon County).
Duties: Provide comprehensive medical services and expertise in general cardiology to a broad range of patients. Perform physical exams order blood work and perform diagnostic tests to evaluate patients heart health and function. Establish treatment and preventative health plans for patients prescribe medication and refer patients to outside specialists as appropriate. Treat and manage patients with heart ailments by prescribing pharmaceutical remedies and by providing lifestyle guidance. Collect record and maintain details of the patients histories physical examinations diagnostic test results assessments management plans and treatment outcomes. Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds assessing patients clinical psychosocial and disposition. Responsible for preparing consultative and procedural reports and maintaining all medical records.
Qualifications
Requirements: M.D. (Medical Degree) or equivalent; completion of residency in Internal Medicine; completion of fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease; board certification or eligibility for certification in Cardiovascular Disease; license to practice medicine or eligibility for licensure in Illinois.
