Details

Availability: Monday to Friday 11:00 am 12:00 pm
Lesson Frequency: 5 times per week
Lesson Duration: 1 hour each
Current level: Complete Beginner
Native/other languages: Korean (teacher must speak Korean to communicate with the client)
Goals:
- Improve listening and speaking skills
- Build vocabulary and pronunciation with local accents
- Develop listening comprehension strategies
- Practice reading and writing basics
- Learn common phrases and everyday conversations
- Role-play practical situations: ordering at restaurants going to the doctor shopping public transportation phone calls
- Explore popular hobbies and interests in the new country
- Have structured lessons with a study time plan

Responsibilities

Create structured beginner-level English lessons with a clear study plan
Incorporate vocabulary pronunciation and listening strategies
Include real-life scenarios for daily communication (restaurants doctor visits shopping transportation)
Provide opportunities for conversations with native-speaker style practice
Introduce cultural and practical topics relevant to life in the US

Qualifications

Native or near-native proficiency in English
Certificate or degree in language teaching linguistics education or related field
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience with adult beginners
Ability to create practical engaging and culturally relevant lessons
Experience supporting students adapting to a new country is an asset
