This role is both hands-on and strategic providing human resource leadership in the development and implementation of HR strategies that foster growth innovation and organizational effectiveness. The Sr. HRBP must first understand business priorities and translate them into an HR plan that supports the business. They assess capability and needs in leadership & management development career development performance management employee relations compensation and talent acquisition driving appropriate solutions in these areas. The Sr. HRBP partners with Directors to develop and implement strategies that support business agendas including performance management organizational effectiveness talent development and organization design. Whether coaching clients on leading their teams navigating employee relations issues or developing innovative solutions the Sr. HRBP serves as the champion of Amazons culture and values helping leaders build customer-obsessed teams.

Key job responsibilities
- Partner with senior management to champion organizational and people focused initiatives in order to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results
- Partner with business on organizational design talent management succession planning and organizational health
- Review and analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance retention and employee experience
- Provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues
- Plan manage and provide continuous improvement to all aspects of HR processes including creating mechanisms and owning projects to address organizational opportunities
- Provide ongoing support to the leadership team on human resources related matters policies and procedures
- 7 years of experience in an HR leadership role with broad knowledge and experience in human resources management
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field
- Demonstrated record of success in improving organizational performance and navigating leaders through organizational changes in a fast paced environment
- Proven ability to relate to influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization
- Proven ability to diagnose problems identify appropriate solutions and drive successful resolutions by using experience critical thinking and data.
- Ability to balance autonomy with teamwork
- Effective communication skills - written verbal and listening with our without aid
- MBA or Masters Degree in Human Resources
- 2 years experience working with software development science and/or other high-tech organizations
- Strong Project/Program Management Skills
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $193400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
