Description of Duties:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Refine business and technical requirements.

Document functional & non-functional needs (security compliance scalability).

Database Schema & Design

Logical & physical schema for Azure SQL DB.

Normalization indexing relational integrity.

Implementation

Build Azure SQL DBA environment (servers resource groups).

Migrate/import data ensuring integrity.

Implement RBAC encryption backup/recovery.

ETL Processing

Build pipelines in Azure Data Factory with Python transformations.

Automate ingestion from utilities (ISO-NE NEPOOL GIS VELCO VX).

Integration

Ensure Power BI connectivity.

Provide APIs/views for reporting.

Testing & Validation

Security & performance validation.

Database maintenance plan.

Documentation & Training

Schema and configuration documentation.

Knowledge transfer and PSD staff training.

Deployment & Support

Production deployment in Azure.

Post-implementation monitoring and 90-day support window.

Required:

Proficiency in Azure SQL Database design/implementation.
Experience in ETL with Python/Azure Data Factory.
Expertise in Power BI integration.
Familiarity with Azure Blob Storage & APIs.
Strong knowledge of data security & compliance.

Desirable Qualifications:

Microsoft Azure Database Administrator SQL DBA credentials.
