Job Description

Job Description:

  • We are looking for a seasoned Delivery Technical Manager with strong expertise in IBM i AS400 technologies to lead onsite delivery operations.
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in COBOL DB2 RPG and CL programming along with excellent client interaction skills team management experience and a strong focus on quality delivery and governance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Ownership: Manage end-to-end delivery of IBM ibased applications across multiple business lanes
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the client manage expectations facilitate communication and handle escalations
  • Team Management: Lead onsite offshore teams conduct sprint planning resource allocation and performance reviews
  • Technical Oversight: Review technical designs ensure code quality manage deployments and monitor system stability
  • Dependency Management: Identify and mitigate cross functional or cross lane dependencies in legacy systems support modularization initiatives without disrupting existing operations
  • Governance Reporting: Drive weekly monthly governance meetings report KPIs delivery health and SLA adherence
  • Innovation Improvements: Propose modernization strategies performance improvements and operational efficiencies within the AS400 ecosystem

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of IBM i AS400 COBOL CL RPG and DB2
  • Proven experience in managing large legacy application portfolios
  • Handson experience in incident management change management and production support
  • Familiarity with tools like MDCMS or equivalent and deployment change management tools
  • Excellent communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience working in a global delivery model onsite offshore is essential

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services lending domain
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum and traditional SDLC methodologies
  • Exposure to modernization tools or microservices even at concept level
  • PMP ITIL or Scrum certifications nice to have
