Job Description
Introduction
Our client a leading Healthcare company based in Johannesburg is looking for a LVAD & ECMO Transplant Coordinator.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The LVAD and ECMO Transplant Coordinator is a critical member of the multidisciplinary team responsible for the comprehensive care of patients with Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs).
- This role spans pre-implantation evaluation peri-operative management and long-term outpatient follow-up.
- The coordinator ensures optimal patient outcomes by facilitating education interdisciplinary collaboration and compliance with regulatory standards.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in SA SANC.
- Intensive care qualification and a minimum of 2 years experience in a Cardiothoracic facility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- 2 years of clinical nursing experience; prior experience in cardiovascular care or critical care essential.
- 1 year of experience managing LVAD or heart transplant patients is highly desirable.
