The Role: Fragrance Development Technologist
This role supports the research and development team in designing and applying fragrances that meet diverse client requirements. It offers a defined career path with the opportunity to grow into a head perfumer role within two years. Ideal for someone with both scientific knowledge and a passion for scent creation the role bridges technical precision with creative expression.
Key Responsibilities

Minimum 2 years of experience in fragrance development evaluation or applications support

Characterise and match fragrances across oils fine fragrance personal care home and fabric care
-
Prepare analyse and interpret GC-MS reports for fragrance quantification and profiling
-
Manage raw material quality substitutions and formulation adjustments
-
Participate in olfactory evaluations and accurately interpret findings
-
Maintain and update the internal fragrance library and technical records
-
Keep abreast of new ingredients technologies and global fragrance trends
-
Troubleshoot customer concerns through application testing and desktop research
About You
-
Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field
-
Proven experience in fragrance development applications or R&D support
-
Strong project management and organisational skills
-
Computer literacy with excellent attention to detail
-
Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams and with clients
-
Proactive self-driven and eager to grow into a perfumer role
-
Passionate about fragrances with curiosity and creativity to push boundaries
