This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to patient care through diagnostic imaging and collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
As a Locum MD in Radiology you will be instrumental in providing high-quality radiological services interpreting imaging studies and ensuring accurate diagnoses. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing patient outcomes and supporting the overall mission of our medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and interpret various imaging studies including X-rays CT scans and MRIs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Provide accurate and timely reports on imaging findings
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety standards
- Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology techniques and technologies
- Mentor and guide junior staff in radiological practices
- Assist in the development of radiology protocols and guidelines
Requirements
- MD degree with a specialization in Radiology
- Associate-level experience in a clinical radiology setting
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Indiana
- Strong knowledge of imaging modalities and radiological procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Evening and weekend call shifts available
Case Volume: 50 RVUs per shift
Cases: Moderate IR (lung/solid organ biopsy chest tube FNA image-guided core biopsy) and light IR (thoracentisis paracentisis LP myelogram arthrogram etc.)
Technology: RPCE Tech Stack and PowerScribe 4.0
Board certification required
