Job Description

Are you passionate about smart living and building automation Do you have a strong network in the residential real estate sector Join Somfy a global leader in motorized shading and smart home solutions and help us shape the future of connected living. 

As a Business Developer at Somfy you will be responsible for driving growth in the residential real estate segment focusing on shading solutions and smart home technologies. You will build and manage strategic relationships with real estate developers architects and project stakeholders to position Somfy as the preferred partner for motorized shading and connected home systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with residential real estate developers and construction companies.
  • Promote Somfys portfolio of motorized shading systems smart controls and home automation solutions.
  • Lead the full sales cycle: from prospecting and technical consultation to proposal negotiation and project delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and marketing teams to tailor solutions that meet customer needs and project specifications.
  • Track and manage project pipelines using CRM tools and ensure timely follow-up and reporting.
  • Stay informed on market trends competitor activities and regulatory developments in the smart home and construction sectors.
  • Represent Somfy at industry events trade shows and networking forums to strengthen brand visibility and partnerships.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Architecture or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales preferably in smart home building automation or construction-related technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing complex B2B projects and delivering results in the real estate or construction sector.
  • Strong technical understanding of smart home ecosystems IoT and motorized shading systems.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven entrepreneurial mindset with a strong customer orientation.
  • Fluent in Czech and  English proficiency required.
  • Preferably with experience in Somfy products or comparable solutions within the shading and automation sector.
  • Experience working with architects MEP consultants and project managers.
  • Knowledge of building codes energy efficiency standards and sustainability certifications (e.g. LEED BREEAM).
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and digital collaboration tools.
