Job Title: Security Officer Submarines
Working location: Raynesway Derby
Grade: 4
We now have a new opportunity within the Security Department at the Rolls-Royce Submarines site at Raynesway and we are seeking a professional Security Control Room Operator to join our team in maintaining the protection of our premises assets and personnel. The primary function of this role is a control room operative but all candidates must be cover the secondary functions of the role as an operational security officer.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office home or another remote location. Its a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum were all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate incidents.
- Act lawfully in the protection of life or property.
- Maintain and produce accurate written records and reports of daily occurrences and report in detail any suspicious incidents.
- Proficiently operating all security control room equipment including CCTV systems alarms and access control systems.
- Actively observing CCTV feeds alarm systems and other security devices to identify potential threats or security line management with the investigation of security incidents and breaches to enable causes to be identified and preventative actions be implemented.
- Monitoring of CCTV Systems Automated Access Control Systems and associated Security and Emergency Alarm systems.
- Responding to alarms emergencies and security incidents by following established procedures and protocols.
- Carry out internal external and perimeter foot patrols of buildings and site infrastructure.
- Carry out control of access and egress at vehicle access points and building entrances.
- Conducting entry and exit searches of vehicles and personnel entering and exiting the Raynesway Site.
- As a successful candidate you must be flexible and will be required to work shifts 24/7 which includes weekend working and Bank Holidays.

- Whilst not essential previous security or control room experience would be highly desirable.
- You must demonstrate sound communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Ability to quickly assess situations identify problems and implement effective solutions.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to identify potential threats or security breaches.
- Be able to work shifts as part of a 24/7 cover
- Full UK driving licence is essential.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individualswho are a UK national or in MoD approved cases a dual national.
