Job Summary
Field Drafter
Role Description:
Positionprovides support to engineering design team by providing layout detailed drawings sketches diagrams etc.
Job Responsibilities:
Read andmaintainan understanding of Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)
Performfield ISO sketches with the proper symbols
Perform drawing corrections
Perform field verifications
Utilizesafe work practices and basicsafety PPE as may be necessary
Perform entry in AutoCAD
Use AutoCAD ordrafting software to develop designs
Completenew CAD drawings to file for reference purposes
Updateexisting CAD drawings to reflect modifications and improvements to existing jobs
Develop sketcheson proposed drawingsandflow sheetsConfirmdesigns are consistent withsite drafting and engineering standards
Maintain and organize drawing filing system
Work with engineering other professionals and SMEs to obtain input to recommendations
Participate in technical reviews of specifications designs codes and other requirements
Qualifications & Skills for Success:
Associates Degreein Drafting or a drafting certification is desired
Minimum of 3years ofexperience working drafting anddesign inthe petrochemical industry(preferred)
Knowledgeable of various petrochemical standards and codes: ANSI ASME PFI etc.
Ability to read and understand multiple discipline drawings including piping mechanical electrical instrumentation civil structural and architectural
Ability to comprehend rough sketches and specificationsin order toupdate existing drawings as well as creating new drawings
Proficiencywith AutoCAD
