  • Salary: 16.02 per hour depending on experience)
  • Hours: 8.30am 3.15pm Monday - Friday
  • Contract: Permanent required to start as soon as possible or from 3 November 2025

We require an experienced Specialist HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) who has experience in Sports leadership or Forest Schools to cover PPA (Planning Preparation and Assessment) across school sites within the trust. We are looking for someone with a passion for outdoor learning and the ability to relate to pupils across the age range within primary settings.You will receive travel reimbursement from a central site and will need their own transport. We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual who can bring a love of sport and the outdoors to all pupils. The ability to adapt lesson planning to meet the needs of all learners is essential.

The Consortium Trust demonstrates and implements safeguarding protocols in all aspects of their working practices and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and this may include social media checks.

As a Specialist HLTA you will:

  • follow plans and work on own initiative
  • be capable of taking responsibility for whole class learning
  • communicate clearly with children and adults verbally and in writing
  • have experience of working with all ages of children in a school setting
  • be able to support a range of abilities including pupils with SEND
  • be able to adhere to policies and procedures and follow GDPR guidelines
  • be able to maintain confidentiality
  • be confident in supporting good behaviour management skills
  • have a desire to participate in school and Trust CPD opportunities
  • have an awareness of Safeguarding
  • be able to travel as required.

Qualifications:

Grade C /4 level Numeracy and Literacy and a good level of computer literacy.

Preferable skills:

  • Sports leadership
  • Forest schools
  • Scouting knowledge
  • Swimming instructor
