Job Summary

Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of school-related projects with a strong emphasis on collaboration with school-based leadership. The position manages a portfolio of small medium and large-scale technology initiatives projects and programs across multiple departmentsfrom initiation through implementation. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans schedules status reports risk assessments and other essential project documentation all in alignment with organizational best practices.

Essential Functions

and Facilitate definitions of service levels and customer requirements by interacting with existing or potential stakeholders to determine their organizational needs and to develop requirements documentation and cost benefit analyses.

the continuous development of project management strategies and best practices to meet the organizations needs.

regular project and program reviews to ensure all projects are being performed using DCPS Technology best practices. Collaborate with project managers to resolve issues within individual projects or within portfolios

Project Management processes areas such as Change Management Risk Management Scope Management Communications Resource Management and Cost Management are being properly used in managing all projects and programs.

training for project management staff in current project management standards and techniques as part of project management continual improvement

and facilitate the proper implementation of project lessons learned processes to enable continual project execution enhancement.

project Management techniques and guidance across the organization.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferred or equivalent work experience.

Experience: Ten (10) years of project management experience. Experience in government entity or public school preferred.

Certifications & Licenses: Relevant project management certification preferred.
