About the Role
WellTech Partners is partnered with a healthcare facility in Porterville CA that is seeking an experienced and dedicated Charge RN to join their Emergency Department team. This is a full-time on-site position where youll lead a high-performing nursing team while ensuring quality patient-centered care for diverse populations from newborns to geriatrics in a fast-paced emergency environment.
Oversee daily nursing operations including patient assignments admissions transfers and discharges.
Act as a clinical resource mentor and role model for nursing staff.
Collaborate with physicians leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Coordinate staffing needs breaks and lunches to maintain optimal care coverage.
Respond promptly to all emergency codes and assist with patient triage and flow.
Support quality improvement initiatives policy updates and compliance with regulatory standards.
Maintain open and effective communication with patients families and hospital departments.
Participate in professional development opportunities and leadership committees.
Education & Experience:
Current California RN license (required).
Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience in acute care (emergency department preferred).
National certification (to be obtained within 90 days of accepting the position).
Certifications:
American Heart Association BLS ACLS and PALS (required).
MICN certification with Central California EMS Agency (required).
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
Skills:
Strong leadership communication and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in patient triage emergency response and critical thinking under pressure.
Ability to mentor and develop nursing staff while fostering a collaborative environment.
