Your Role

As an Audit Manager youll play a key role in both delivery and leadership. You will:

  • Lead and manage audits for a varied portfolio of clients planning and overseeing fieldwork in line with partner direction

  • Monitor progress against targets and resolve challenges proactively

  • Prepare and review financial statements for both audit and non-audit clients

  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor

  • Communicate technical matters clearly and practically to clients and colleagues

  • Coach and support junior staff in their development

  • Undertake technical research and share insights across the team

  • Contribute to departmental growth and assist with proposals for new business

  • Attend networking and business events locally to represent the firm

  • Travel to client sites across the region with hybrid working arrangements available

About You

Were looking for someone who is confident in leading audits and enjoys being a hands-on manager. Ideally you will have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification (or be part-qualified with substantial experience)

  • Strong audit experience within accountancy practice

  • Experience mentoring supervising and reviewing the work of junior staff

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both with clients and team members

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional adaptable way

  • Good technical knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook)

  • Familiarity with Caseware (advantageous but not essential)
