Your Role
As an Audit Manager youll play a key role in both delivery and leadership. You will:
-
Lead and manage audits for a varied portfolio of clients planning and overseeing fieldwork in line with partner direction
-
Monitor progress against targets and resolve challenges proactively
-
Prepare and review financial statements for both audit and non-audit clients
-
Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
-
Communicate technical matters clearly and practically to clients and colleagues
-
Coach and support junior staff in their development
-
Undertake technical research and share insights across the team
-
Contribute to departmental growth and assist with proposals for new business
-
Attend networking and business events locally to represent the firm
-
Travel to client sites across the region with hybrid working arrangements available
About You
Were looking for someone who is confident in leading audits and enjoys being a hands-on manager. Ideally you will have:
-
ACA or ACCA qualification (or be part-qualified with substantial experience)
-
Strong audit experience within accountancy practice
-
Experience mentoring supervising and reviewing the work of junior staff
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both with clients and team members
-
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional adaptable way
-
Good technical knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook)
-
Familiarity with Caseware (advantageous but not essential)
