Warehouse Material Handler Responsibilities a few of those responsibilities are:
- Receive all material machinery chemicals and supplies.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and examine upon arrival.
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks checking in merchandise matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
- Maintain record keeping systems and mark material with part numbers date and lot codes revisions etc.
- Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Read customer orders work orders shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size type style and color or product code.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
Warehouse Material Handler Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of relevant warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to obtain sit-down forklift certifications
Warehouse Material Handler Shift Schedule Monday Friday from 8am to 5pm.
