Your role is to provide a warm welcome guide guests through their journey with us and ensure every detail of their experience reflects the lively charm and sophistication of our award-winning Italian restaurant. Delivering great service by anticipating guest needs managing reservations and presenting a polished and professional presence is at the heart of everything we do. In addition to caring for our guests your role also involves stewardship of the restaurants flow and ambience. Your Day to Day
People
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment by collaborating closely with fellow Hosts Servers Bartenders and Leaders to achieve daily weekly and monthly service standards.
- Take ownership of your working environment by ensuring the host stand reservation system menus and guest areas are always prepared to deliver excellent service each day.

- Ensure efficient use of restaurant resources such as menus guest materials and POS systems to reduce waste and manage costs responsibly.
- Accurately manage reservations and seating to maximise table turnover while balancing guest comfort and operational flow.
- Contribute to the hotels productivity by coordinating seating plans and guest flow efficiently during peak service periods.
- Handle guest property and restaurant assets responsibly safeguarding them from loss or damage.
Guest Experience
- Deliver an exceptional welcome and farewell for every guest ensuring each interaction reflects the warmth and authenticity of Italian hospitality.
- Anticipate guest needs by proactively managing reservations accommodating special requests where possible and providing personalised recommendations.
- Be attentive and responsive to guest interactions providing friendly and professional assistance at all times.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a guest-facing role within a restaurant bar or hotel environment is an advantage though not essential as training will be provided.
- Good communication skills in English to interact effectively with colleagues and guests; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- A warm welcoming and professional personality with a strong focus on guest service and hospitality.
- A positive dependable and proactive attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dining environment.
- Well-groomed and able to uphold the highest standards of personal presentation as a brand ambassador for Publico Ristorante and InterContinental Hotels.
