Job Summary Rewrite: Project Engineer with a Focus on Hydraulics and Land Development
We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer eager to contribute to the construction and land development industry. This role centers on providing technical expertise for hydraulic-driven projects such as stormwater modeling irrigation design and hydraulic studies. Successful candidates will collaborate closely with the team and work beneath a Project Manager contributing to the growth and success of land development projects while adhering to local and regional codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on team-oriented projects with a primary focus on hydraulics and land development.
- Perform stormwater modeling hydraulic studies and irrigation design in compliance with all applicable codes.
- Develop designs and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.
- Write technical reports and analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in critical technical writing stormwater management planning and plan development.
- Conduct site visits (locations include South San Francisco Livermore and Pacifica) and report findings.
- Mileage is reimbursed for site-related activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Hydraulic Engineering or Land Development. Degrees in Environmental Engineering will also be considered.
- 1 2 years of relevant experience in the land development and construction design industry.
- Proficiency with tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD (experience in coding not required).
- Strong critical-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize and analyze data effectively.
- Demonstrated technical writing capability with attention to detail.
