Job Summary

Tzaneen Area Limpopo: Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the citrus farm production. Managing production schedules ensuring product quality optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with health safety and environmental regulations. Leadership role in driving production targets maintaining operational processes and coordinating resources to ensure the seamless flow of production from citrus harvesting to packaging

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelors degree Agriculture B-Degree in Entomology Agronomy or Horticulture.
A Masters degree or relevant certifications in production management or lean manufacturing would be advantageous.
At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or senior operations role within a manufacturing or production environment preferably within the agriculture
Proven experience in managing production processes staff and resources in a high-volume production environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards quality control processes and regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate guide and manage a diverse team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and act decisively in a fast-paced -depth understanding of production processes machinery and operational best practices.
Solid understanding of inventory management procurement and supply chain processes. Proficiency in production management software ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Ability to analyze production data and generate actionable insights to drive improvements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Results-driven with a strong focus on achieving production goals and maximizing efficiency. Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Proactive and able to anticipate and address potential issues before they arise.
Able to work under pressure managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
A collaborative approach with the ability to work well with other departments and senior leadership.
