Job Summary

Audit Manager

As an Audit Manager you will oversee the planning direction and management of the firms audit operations. You will ensure compliance with professional standards maintain high-quality engagement outputs and drive exceptional client satisfaction.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients overseeing both audit and tax aspects while delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Allocate resources effectively and plan staff assignments to ensure optimal engagement outcomes.

  • Lead all phases of audit engagementsfrom thorough planning to efficient execution and reportingcollaborating with the Audit Partner to communicate findings clearly.

  • Ensure quality accuracy and compliance across all audit and assurance engagements.

  • Prepare meticulous high-quality documents reports and engagement files that meet firm standards.

  • Prepare annual financial statements in alignment with IFRS for SMEs demonstrating expertise in financial reporting.

  • Provide daily supervision guidance and leadership to audit staff fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Coach mentor and develop junior audit staff including conducting performance reviews.

  • Maintain clear communication with clients delivering outstanding service and enhancing the firms reputation.

  • Prepare and monitor audit budgets ensuring engagements are executed efficiently and within financial constraints.

  • Assess trainees using the SAICA EAT system supporting their growth and development.

  • Review trainee timesheets and overtime ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Contribute to the smooth functioning of the firm by taking on additional responsibilities as required.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • CA(SA) qualification with SAICA registration.

  • 24 years post-articles audit experience.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs the Companies Act and audit methodology.

  • Experience with CaseWare Working Papers.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
