Job Summary

Our client is a fine dining restaurant located in Waterfront and is one of the oldest and most iconic eateries in the area. Its reputation extends beyond just being a restaurant as it is proudly a globally recognized tavern that provides a more sophisticated dining experience that boasts the freshest seafood and live music.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the restaurant including staffing inventory management and customer service.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and excellent service whilst handling a busy restaurant

Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.

Train supervise and evaluate staff members to ensure efficient operation of the restaurant.

Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.

Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.

Create and manage budgets as well as track expenses and revenues.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional activities.

Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment.

Essential Qualifications:

Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role within the fine dining industry

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Knowledge of restaurant management software.

Desired Experience:

Bachelors degree in hospitality management or related field is advantageous (Not essential)

Minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant management..

Experience in staff training and development.

Must have some fine dining experience.

Salary & Benefits:

The annual salary for this position is in Rand (R) and will be competitive based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits such as health insurance retirement plans and employee discounts may be included.
