Key job responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer intern youll have a unique opportunity to shape the development and future of the AME Manufacturing Test team. You are data and metric driven and obsessively concerned about performance under resource constrained this role you innovate and solve problems of high ambiguity and high impact. You will drive design choices trade-offs priorities and timelines. You will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and technical expertise to drive and influence manufacturing test development and execution.

The ideal candidate will have experience contributing to multiple simultaneous product development efforts. Youll strive for simplicity and demonstrate significant creativity and high judgment.
As a Manufacturing Test Engineer at Amazon youll be expected to:
Serve as a test lead on our demanding cross-functional projects with significant bottom-line impact.
Ensure the quality and execution of our manufacturing test systems
Proactively communicate technical information and status to broad cross-functional teams
Functionally decompose complex problems into simple straight-forward solutions.
Understand system inter-dependencies and limitations
Develop test plans and test-setup prototypes for new technologies
About the team
Highly skilled individuals working collaboratively to solve complex issues and coming up with new ways to improve the overall product design testing in order to delight our customers.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- Experience building and operating production systems with at least one modern language
- Understand and read electronics circuit diagrams and schematics
- Knowledge of full life-cycle software engineering practices including coding standards testing source control management and operations
- Experience in development lifecycle processes and best practices.
- Experienced shipping products.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required
- Advanced degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills.
- Knowledgeable in statistics
- Experience developing software and an understanding of design for security availability and performance.
- Experience in Embedded Software Development
