PJT Camberview PJT Partners industry leading shareholder advisory business advises public company boards and management teams on building productive relationships with investors and navigating complex shareholder matters including on shareholder engagement strategic investor relations activism and contested situations ESG and sustainability and corporate governance.

Roles & Responsibilities

PJT Camberview seeks a highly motivated Analyst to join our advisory team. The Analyst will play a vital role in supporting all aspects of PJT Partners shareholder advisory business with a focus on the Governance business vertical.

Responsibilities of the Analyst (Governance) include but are not limited to the following:

Execution of Client Engagements

• Work effectively within assigned client teams on content that spans Shareholder Advisory business verticals to support client mandates
• Assist in preparing high-impact management/investor presentations press releases scripts and other deliverables relating to a range of investor mattersincluding both fundamental and governance issues
• Support client team in delivering advice to senior executives and directors regarding a range of strategic and investor topics including how to earn investor and proxy advisor support for unique/challenging shareholder votes executive compensation leadership succession and transition across board and c-suite roles
• Evaluate client board and governance practices disclosures and messaging in the context of evolving investor priorities and provide advice on how to proactively mitigate vulnerabilities

Business Development

• Support the senior teams efforts to identify and prioritize new business opportunities
• Develop effective preparation materials for pitch meetings

Building a Strong Brand

• Research analyze and develop materials relating to institutional investors and market developments for use with clients prospects and other market participants
• Contribute to the firms intellectual leadership by supporting the development of analytical frameworks and other research materials with broad applicability

Qualifications

PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated intelligent and have excellent academic leadership and extracurricular addition qualified candidates will possess the following:

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience within any of the following types of firms: strategic or management consulting firm; compensation consulting firm sustainability / ESG advisory firm asset management/brokerage firm; corporate IR/PR role; law firm (M&A and/or shareholder activism advisory work); investment bank/M&A; other corporate advisor
• Bachelors Degree with a strong academic record
• Experience performing in-depth research and strong ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information
• Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Collaborative and team-oriented with sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized detail-oriented and proactive
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for governance
