Emergency Response & Billing Specialist based in the
Fredericton NB area.
This role is essential for coordinating crew deployments during storm events and ensuring accurate financial tracking and billing. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced mission-critical environment and contribute to operational efficiency and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:- Coordinate emergency response efforts mobilizing crews during large-scale outages to ensure timely deployment
- Develop and maintain detailed crew rosters for internal use and utility clients
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of timesheets and field reports
- Compile operational data to generate accurate billing invoices in accordance with contracts
- Interpret contract details to ensure compliance and billing accuracy
- Perform financial analysis and reporting to support operational decisions
- Lead or support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and future deployments
- Other related duties as assigned
Experience & Attributes for Success:- Post-secondary education in Business Administration Finance Contract Management Accounting or related field; alternatively 7 years of directly related experience
- 57 years of experience in billing finance contract administration or project coordination; utility construction or emergency response experience is an asset
- Proven experience in high-pressure fast-paced environments
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to audit and manage high-value invoices
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with contract terms and billing practices
- Availability for flexible on-call hours during storm deployments
