Job Duties:
Possesses considerable technical knowledge of software applications and hard-ware environments
Receives direction to Installs maintains configures up-grades and/or administers hardware and/or software independently in workstation support network administration server administration business continuity information security telecommunications and network connectivity and SAN administration (i.e. multiple technology domains) where technical work requires specific knowledge to evaluate select adapt and modify standard procedures
Devises new approaches to problems encountered
Diagnoses analyzes and resolves issues for customer(s) across assigned multiple technology domains
Creates organizes files and maintains documentation
Reviews and monitors enterprise security systems
Takes appropriate action and responds to alarms/alerts per agency policy and procedure (e.g. anti-virus spam)
Maintains upgrades and/or adds new applications to Citrix/VDI environment
Apple labs and AutoDESK (CAD) labs
Maintains upgrades and/or adds new applications to Chromebooks
Provides IT support to all OCSS (Education Department) users
Interfaces with other platforms from a hardware and/or software perspective
Answers questions and presents informal mentorship opportunities to peers and/or lower-level staff via conversation observation or technical documentation
Stays current regarding new technologies in area of IT assigned

All final applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis to test for illegal drug use prior to appointments. Testing will also be performed for the presence of marijuana.
